Reply to the Notification of selection results

Accept your offer of admission by 4 april - In order to keep your place (seat) at a course or programme, you must reply to the Notification of selection results at www.universityadmissions.se. If you see "Reserve" next to your course or programme in the Notification of selection results, this means that you have been placed on a waiting list for that course/programme.

Pay the first tuition fee instalment

Fee-paying students will receive infomation regarding payment of the first instalment of your tuition fees after the Second notification of selection results has been published. You should pay these fees as soon as possible. You won't be able to have your residence permit for studies approved until you have done so.

Check your passport

Make sure your passport is valid during your study period in Sweden.

Apply for a visa/residence permit in Sweden

Students with a citizenship in countries outside EU/EEA have to apply for a Residence Permit to study in Sweden. As an EU/EEA citizen you have the right of residence in Sweden and may study without a residence permit.

Find and book accommodation

As soon as you have received your admssion to us you should apply for student accommodation. You can easily book a room on your own, by sending an e-mail to the Housing Company of your choice.

Sort out your insurance

Prevent unpleasant surprises and make sure you have insurance! Insurance should preferably cover yourself, your property and your accommodation.

Make a travel plan and book tickets

Our campus cities are easily accessible via plane, railway, bus, and car. We have listed different forms of transportation so you will find your way to out campus cities.

Request Pick-up service

Mid Sweden University offers a pick-up service a few days before the introduction days when you have arrived in Sundsvall and Östersund. To receive this service you must fill out the request form by the deadline!

Make sure you can cover your living expenses

Make sure that you bring sufficient money to cover your living expenses and, if applicable, your tuition fees at Mid Sweden University. 

Pack for your departure

Remember to bring travel documents, tickets, passport/ID, insurance papers, and admission letter, cash/credit card, prescriptive medicine, and pack loose, casual clothing for summer and warm clothing for winter.
