As a new student at Mid Sweden University, you need to activate your user identity to get access to our systems and IT services, for instance the Student Portal, the learning platform and the the wireless network at campus. The Student Portal will be one of your most important tools in your studies here. In the Student Portal you will find information about courses, education materials and more. This is also where you register on each course.
To be able to get started with your studies you need to activate your user identity to the Student Portal.
Exchange students and international students
After being admitted, you will receive information that you have to create and activate your Student Portal account. This is possible for students with a Swedish personal identification number (format: yyyymmdd-nnnn e.g. 19810120-1111). If you do not have such a number, your user identity will be created and activated automatically for you and you will receive your log-in information for the Student Portal during the introduction days at the start of the semester. That is during the introduction days, you will receive you own personal user ID and password to the Mid Sweden University's Student Portal. Your log-in information for the student portal will be send to you via e-mail approximately two weeks before the semester starts.
Students with a Swedish personal identification number
If you have a Swedish personal identification number (format: yyyymmdd e.g. 198101201111) you can create your own user identity to the Student Portal directly after receiving admission. Read how to create your user identity!
